The Julia Evans Reed Charitable Trust partners with outstanding non-profits to provide the things in life Julia held to be essential: a good home, a quality education, nourishing food, and creative opportunities for learning and engagement in the arts.

About Julia

Julia Reed was born in 1960 in the Mississippi Delta and is the author of 8 books. In her long and storied career, she contributed to Newsweek, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books, the Washington Post, Elle Decor, Southern Living, and Garden & Gun, US News & World Report, among other publications.

The Julia Evans Reed Charitable Trust is supported through: bequests Julia made upon her death, generous donations from friends and family, sales of Julia’s books, and through fundraising events, the first of which will be a charity auction to take place in early February 2021 at Neal Auction House in New Orleans.
